Exceptions under chapter 1 of EN 16005
Not every powered door falls under EN 16005. Now exceptions can be recorded in the risk form.
EN 16005 lists in chapter 1 the doors the standard does not apply to: vertically moving doors, lift doors, doors on vehicles, gates mainly for vehicle traffic, doors in industrial processes, turnstiles, platform doors and traffic barriers among others.
In the risk analysis you can now document an exception by simply picking which category applies. The exception is noted on the installation and stated in the documentation, so the reason is visible to whoever reads it later.
